How much do you have to pay for a Bond?

If the bail is equal to or less than $5,000,the price you pay is 10%. To calculate this bond type, take the set bond amount and multiply by 10%.

Example: $5,000 x 0.1 = $500 This means you pay $500 for a $5,000 bond. If the bail amount is greater than $5,000, the price you pay 7% plus $150.00.

When the bail bonds amount is larger the percentage charged decreases from ten to seven plus an added fee. This price modification is regulated by the Connecticut Insurance Department.
